do I need a bassinet and a pack n play and a crib? I have a crib already and I know i want a pack n play but do I need the bassinet as well? has anyone used all three? I know some bassinets have a very light weight limit and can't be used for very long. what is most useful?

We never used a bassinet, Elliot has slept in his crib since the day we brought him home. We use the pack n play when we travel.

I co sleep so i skip the bassinet and crib. I think if anything, skip the bassinet and def get a convertible crib and a pack and play. Pack and play is great if you travel, if baby is going to spend the night at grandmas once in a while, to have a safe place to play while you clean etc.

I used my bassinet for 12 weeks. The pack and play would have taken up too much space in my room. But I guess if you have the space for it you can skip it and just get the pack and play

I got the pack n play that comes with a changing table and bassinet. The baby prefers to sleep in that one over his crib since he is so small still. He sleeps in that or his little rocker. Plus you can pack up the bassinet and changing table when traveling and it is much easier than worrying about sleeping arrangements if you spend more than one night away from home
