Hi so this is my ovulation test (I wish it were my pregnancy test lol)!! This means that I will ovulate soon? I am confused because I took it this morning, the day right after I finished my period. My period this month was from August 9 - 14th. My doctor said to start taking the ovulation tests on day 12 or 14 after the first day of my period, and I'm obviously not there yet but I thought I would try take one since my girl friend who has a 4 month old daughter said she got pregnant the day after her period finished. What does this mean? I have an extra short cycle? Should I ask my dr for clarification? Also I have pcos.

The test line has to be as dark as the control line or darker than the control line. Your not there yet! But keep testing ☺️

Does the fact that a second line showed up mean that it will progressively get darker in the coming days? Before my period I took a test, and there was no second line at all, just the control line!

@brishug, yes ma'am! It should get darker and darker as the days go on. It will be it's darkest at your peak fertility.

Thank you!!! I read online that it says that we always have some LH hormone in our urine, but is that true? Sometimes id have no second line at all when I took a couple tests just to try. So the faint line means I'm close right? And no line means I'm nowhere near ovulation? @kmechelles

@brishug, it's okay! Lol. Did you read the manual/instructions included? It should tell you specifically for that product what the lines mean, etc. Typically, the line means its present but the darker the line, the more hormone. So, BD when you see a line! Haha. Sperm lives inside of you for ~5 days.
