I'll be 38+5 weeks my next appointment. If I ask my doctor for membrane sweep will he do it?

mine started at 38 weeks only if my bacteria tests came back negative.
 the higher dilated you are the better off you will be with sweep.
I was a 2 at 38 an 39 nothing happened for me! 
just ask your doctor

I get checked again Thursday but as of right now I'm only a cm as far as I have been told.

just depends on the dr. And if you are dialated and how far you are dialated. But every dr. is different.
