my midwife said losing the mucus plug means nothing. you can be in labor and still have it in place. time your contractions.

I never lost my plug and the doctor broke my water. I called and went in and was admitted when they were about a minute apart.

I almost didn't notice me losing my mucus plug, & the doctors had to break my water with my daughter & I was already completely dilated so it doesn't really mean anything, you could truly be in labor

I sat at home all through my contractions bc my mom kept saying "We'll go when your water breaks" Well it never broke. My contractions were 2 minutes apart once we got to the hospital & I was 9cm. My water didn't break until right before I pushed. You could really be having labor contractions ..

you don't have to lose it or have your water break to be in labor. some women have to have their water broken
