so i live with my in laws, completely thankful and appreciate that. since we are here saving for our home. it's not about that tho.. my issue is my FIL he insists on giving my son food. luckily he's out of town a lot bc of work... but as of right now he's home has been for the past 3 days. he leaves again tomorrow short visit. okay anyways today we kept saying no food he's too young, he's 3 months old. but he tried twice and then he said he will give him food once i am gone and i won't be able to say anything, meaning when i am at work. he also when i was holding him came up from behind me and shoved literally shoved some Mexican bread in his mouth like a piece. so freaking over this shit. i hate how i am NOT respected as his mother. grandparents sometimes way overstep their boundaries. yes we are living here, but that doesn't give you ANY right to do as you please with MY son. i do not want to be at work worrying about this crap. it looks like that house is going to take longer bc i plan on my little family just leaving and renting an apartment or home now. we wanted to own but i can't deal with this anymore. it's way too much. am i in my right? or should i just calm down? also NO telling him again not to do this isn't going to work. it's just no point he doesn't listen.

sometimes you need to just take a deep breath and put your foot. down and tell them what it is and to respect you as the mother you may understand their intentions are innocent or of good nature but you the mother and if you don't want your son having something then that what goes and should be respected

I think you should maybe let them know how you feel and that's why you say no and them he continuing to disrespect you by not listening is going to result in you leaving. I totally understand, I feel like you are handling it way better than I would be. Maybe your hubby can help with the conversation too. Communication is key! Bc you're right, telling him again not to do it won't work. Explain that you feel disrespected. And if after you let him know how you feel and he continues, then I think you have your answer on if you should leave or not.

I live with my mother in law and my husbands grandma. They had that same belief. I set them straight tho. I ain't playing no games with them. They do what I say and respect my way. Are you too nice? Do have your "bitch face" when you let them know?

Wow, that is so disrespectful . I get that everyone has their own opinions on how children should be raised but they should have enough respect to let us decide what we want to do with OUR child. I think everyone goes through that but for him to actually tell you he's going to do it when you're not there is just beyond 😪

i think that is disrespectful if you told him you didn't want your son to eat food at his age. to tell you he will just do it when you're not present...i don't even know how to respond to that. i don't blame you for wanting to move out sooner! good luck mama!
