Generally even to hand express some nipple squeezing is involved. Nipple stimulation is what causes the contractions. A warm compress can help express full breasts without the nipple stimulation. If you are able to catch some of that milk during the process then yes it can be saved @kayla471

and @kayla471 there's no point in saving it because she is making colostrum right now and by the time she has the baby and goes home she'll either be making milk or about to make milk so the colostrum wouldn't be needed anymore. :)

Nope causes intense contractions just like the rest said .. The one thing my ob made a point to tell me in my other pregnancies
