Anybody else having a sucky turn out for their baby shower? I don't know why I expect it to turn out great, I mean the one me and my mom planned for my first pregnancy didn't turn out good either but I think I only have like five people showing up to this one maybe and that's not including my two aunts (which they haven't even said if they're going to attend) my mom, my sister, her boyfriend, and myself. I don't really have much friends that I interact with anymore, I feel more like I just have acquaintances now, but how do some women get so many people to attend their shower and to actually buy and bring gifts for the baby? Or to even tell you they're going to attend instead of just not saying anything and making you think they might show? This is my first time having a registry and I've had it for like two months and I don't think anyone has even taken a look at it. I've got 19 more days left till he's due, maybe a week by what the doctor said and my shower is this Saturday 😥

I had one person besides family show up to mine yesterday. It was in my hometown & I literally talk to no one but family there but my granny invited people, they just didn't come. we still had fun though. my first baby shower was in July & it was with my church family/church friends & I had around 80 people show up. having a church family has definitely been a huge blessing. they are very supportive & Every Wednesday & Sunday I bring home a gift for my baby.

We invited 75 on Facebook only 11 said they would come and 6 said maybe I'm only expecting 6 ppl or so to actually come :-/ it sucks cause our first was born in nc due to the hubby being military at the time and everyone for her said that they hated that we were so far away, but I honestly feel like that was just an excuse. I know the people that love us will be there and I would not want to spend it any other way!!!

mine was good I had family there about 15 showed up the rest of everyone that said they were going to show up mysteriously all got "sick" the day of the baby shower :/ 35 said they were going to go ....only 15 in the end......

I think the most annoying thing is is when people say they're going to show up and they either wait until the day of to tell you that they can't, or they don't tell you and you don't know until they aren't there. I had family do that to us for the baby shower me and my mom planned for my first pregnancy. I would rather have people tell me they don't want to attend or can't attend than to make up a big story as to why they don't or can't. I hate buying things and getting set up and then having maybe 1 or 2 people show up, it's really disappointing and annoying. I suck at inviting people to things too, so that doesn't help much. I've been to so many ones that are successful with more than 15 people show up and I'm just clueless as to how they do it. I would probably have more people show if I could invite my boyfriend's friends and family but he can't attend the shower due to where he's at right now and all his friends and family live about 5-6 hours away from where the shower is at :/
