Getting a lot of pain in my pubic bone/pelvis etc and i know it's SPD I've chatted to midwife about it, I'm just wondering how much longer I can last at work before I go to docs and ask for a sick note, I'm trying to last but I have another 5 weeks and the thought of it fills me with dread, does the docs give you a sick note for it at my stage??? Anyone done this?? I work in a hospital so pretty much on my feet a lot xxx

Yes u can go on sick at any point

Yeah just explain your in too much pain to continue to work. Either that or take leave? I had to due to spd last time at 24 weeks till 29 weeks then go on early maternity as I couldn't work in the community anymore as I worked with mentally ill people and trying to drive and keep getting in and out the car every hour not knowing what conditions I was going to was crap. Then I got stuck on someone sofa one day. Lol

@suzie80, thanks Hun well the plan was to work till 34 weeks then start 4 weeks annual leave then maternity after that, I don't really want to start holidays and maternity before that time, but if I can try and push through till maybe the end of this month it would only be two weeks sick in asking doc for, doesn't seem too bad, see how I go obviously, thanks for advice Hun xxx ps. I work in theatres and it can be pretty heavy going some days, they are looking out for me but people forget don't they and you just end up running yourself ragged xxx
