My bf had that incident a couple weeks ago...he laid our 3 wk old (at the time) in the bed...she wasn't at the edge maybe like 5 inches from it. I came in and she must've scooted and had flipped into the floor *carpet* . I panicked bc I'm pretty sure she hit her bassinet on the way down since it's next to the bed. She was hollering, I checked her over real good and almost killed him. Idk how she managed to get to the edge still...she's 5 weeks now, didn't have a bruise, bump or mark from the fall but the fear that shot through me😭😭😭 I haven't let him watch her since, if she's laid down it's in the middle of the bed with a wall of pillows surrounding her.

I experienced the same thing about a month & ½ ago! I now put him down to sleep in the middle of the bed now with thick pillow on both sides of him if I have to get up to go pee!

I know...I flipped, I was crying, I craddled her so tight to me. I monitored her for awhile. He couldnt even step foot around us bc I was so angry even if it was an accident, I blamed him for her falling and not being secured @melox_90
