Skip rice cereal. It has no nutrional value and its proven that it DOES NOT help baby sleep through the night. When trying new foods to be able to identify allergies feed baby the same thing for 3-5 days then introduce something new. Once you know baby doesn't have allergies you can start to mix things carrots and peas or apples and bananas. Peds recommend trying veggies first then fruit because they may like the sweetness of it and reject veggies. Don't push it let baby goes at his/her own pace. Food before one is just for fun so don't stress about it too much if baby doesn't want to eat right away. @mashaflor
