Right!? I was the same about being an ultrasound tech but I couldn't handle anything tragic or have to give bad news 😕

@babynumber2ontheway Exactly !!!! im talking like back when I was 15 16 I had my mind set on working in that field , I just couldn't imagine doing it now , well a ultrasound tech is probably not that bad I would enjoy that lol @babynumber2ontheway

I loved being in the NICU. After the baby comes, I'm going to Mother Baby then the NICU. I loved helping those babies. Very emotional, though. You can't help but get sad.

@mactasha awww thats good ! So did you work in the NICU ? and your so right very emotional thats my main concern its like you look at them as your own @mactasha

Yeah. Not for long. It was just for orientation. It really puts a hold on you.

That's a great idea. I love all the nurses at my OBGYN. I love my OB, too. They're all great. I'll be starting the NP program next summer, hopefully, but I couldn't work in a hospital. The NPs on my unit are always so stressed. I thought about the OB office, but ultimately I want my own office. It'll take some work, but baby needs everything he can get.

It's really rewarding. Just find an area you like, like the OB office you're thinking of, and you'll love going to work.

@mactasha exactly !!! keep on going thats a good goal that will def not be easy but will take some persistence as well as determination , if you keep your mind focused on achieving more for your son it will def happen , I wish you the best :) I wanna go as far as I can in the medical field hopefully one day I can be a doctor !! how long is the Np program btw?

@mactasha exactly !!! thats what im gonna do , I will be finishing my cma certificate in April so after that I will work hopefully still in the Ob department lol while I attend school to get my RN . how did you do it ? how long did it take ? @mactasha

The RN program I did was 16 months without the prerequisites. That's the ADN. I'm doing my BSN now and that'll be finished in April. August is when the NP program starts and it depends on full time or part time. 2-3 years for that depending on enrollment status.

Yeah. Just keep going because you will definitely love it. Try to stay away from adults. They're the hardest patients ever 🙄🙄 lol sometimes. Just depends on what you like.

@mactasha okayy , that's not bad at all !! I heard when you do the adn to bsn like you did its faster ? I guess rather than just full blown Going for the bsn but thats really good

It depends on where you go and the school but it all leads the same place
