he should be able to fit the new born stuff at least the first week or two my baby was 8 lbs 6 oz and they fit her perfect for now

its probably more about how the weight is distributed then . because my friend had a 7 pound baby and newborn wouldnt fit . @newmommy72816 @momofthree2016

my son was born 7 lbs 8 oz and his newborns were too big. he wore premie clothes for about a week. he just got out of newborn clothes and he is 2 months old
