My family dog (15 years old, bad eyesight and bad hearing) got out this morning. My mom let him out in the fenced backyard to use the bathroom. He's a shihtzu so we are thinking he slipped under the gate. He was missing for 30 mins. My dad has stage 4 cancer and was in the car in this heat looking for him. I raced over there. Thankfully, a man saw him running on a very busy street and took him in his car. What a way to start the day. My mom is a nervous wreck as it is bc of my father. I didn't want to yell at her for leaving him in the yard unattended. Lesson learned.
