I don't know about there but in KY there is a government agency that you can report stuff like that too and they enforce the rental company to pay for any additional expenses and correct the problem or give your deposit back and terminate your lease

Ours is a state office called consumer protection in the department of housing or something like that. I've filed a report before and they set shit straight!

I would make them pay for all the food and you shouldn't have to pay full rent! If you end up going to a hotel make them pay for it too!
