Do you think it would be too early to discuss my plans for birth at my next appointment on wednesday? I really want a natural, med free birth with as little intervention as possible. And I really want to avoid a c-section unless its 100% necessary. But i have Gestational diabetes and my son is measuring about a week and 4 days behind. My doctor seems pretty chill and im comfortable with him but ive never asked any questions about what my birth preferences are and if they are even possible for me with gestational diabetes. What do you ladies think? Did any of you moms get the birth experience that you planned on with Gestational Diabetes?

Im also pretty uncomfortable being medically induced before 40 weeks. But i dont know if hell let me go past 38...

no,talk to your doctor and tell him how you feel about that so you can inform you more about all that..I also talked to my doctor early and let her know I wanted a natural birth with no drugs in my body no matter how painful it will be !

Ok. Im just really afraid theyre gonna want to pump me full of pitocin and other drugs at 38 weeks to start labor and then tell me i have no choice but to have a c-section! @chibiytino

I had GD and had a natural birth he came on his own and everything. I was about 39 weeks. I would just try to go into natural labor because inductions kinda suck

Id talk to your dr at your next appointment it's helpful for both ends to know what you want .
