So I was given a 24 hour urine test... I literally have to collect my pee for the next 24 hours in this gas can looking container... Any other moms have to do this? I had high blood pressure yesterday and it went down today back to normal but doctor still wanted me to do this test as a precaution to check for preeclampsia. I'm a little annoyed.

I had to do it at 35 and half weeks for the same reason...was super annoying. was I the hospital for 36 hours and 24 of it was the urine samples.

But it's definitely better to be safe then sorry!! I didn't even end up having pre-eclampsia but it was nice to have the testing done to know for sure.

Yes I had to do it a few weeks ago. Its not that bad and its better to be safe. I passed the test. Did they tell you to keep the jug cold as well? I just put a small styrofoam ice chest in the shower with ice in it

yes i had to twice. once in my 1st trimester and another in the beginning of my 3rd trimester.

@ktkayxo yeah they told me to keep it cold my SO thought I was going to put it in the fridge and I was like gross no. @rachh40 I think doing it in the hospital would be a little easier I'm not looking forward to collecting my own urine lol but I'm glad I can do it at home and be able to be more comfortable.
