just asked him...Brown the meat and cook diced onions with it once meat is almost done, once onions are cooked, add ketchup until saucy, add some water until it's soupy (add celery seed and whatever seasonings you want,) then simmer covered until it gets thick, stirring occasionally. he said it takes practice. we serve it on grilled Hawaiian buns. (butter them and cook in pan like a grilled cheese) yummy!
