So I went to the dr the other day beause I thought I had thrush.... The only symptom I've had is pain during sex, she she got me to do a swab test and she's called me this afternoon saying that I do in fact have thrush... Is this going to harm my baby?! She's given me stuff to take but I'm worried so I haven't had any discharge or pain whilst peeing?

It shouldn't do. The baby is very well protected. Unfortunately it's common to get thrush and some women find it hard to shift it until after the birth. Its the balance of hormones all changing. My cousin has had it repeatedly, but in her mouth! She has 2 weeks left til gee due date. Its not nice xx

Thrush is not a UTI...Thrush is a bacterial thing inside the vagina. You get itching...not pain when peeing. No. it is very common in pregnancy and will not harm the baby :) but if you still have it when the baby is born...the baby can get it..in the mouth etc :) Take the antibiotics and make sure you finish them...as not finishing them will cause antibodies to be made and then the antibiotics wont work xxx

Thrush is actually a fungal infection where there has been an imbalance in the vagina flora. The anti fungal canasten will get rid of it and it's fine.
