Alright... more problems with my OB. when I went in for that emergency appointment last week I also brought up that I felt like my boobs were getting as full. he immediately told me to get the herb fenugreek. I thought he's an OB he went to school for this stuff I'll trust him. I asked at least 10 questions some even more then once. the one question that came out of my mouth multiple times is "is there ANY risk that this herb could affect Liam in any way shape or form?" repeatedly I was told no. well it has definitely affected my child. I took it one day and I started vomiting up everything I couldn't even keep water down. I was also going to the bathroom constantly. so immediately I stopped taking it. and a day later my son started having the exact same stuff happening to him. he has never vomited in his life only little spit ups. and since the fenugreek he has thrown up at least 7 times. he also has terrible diarrhea. a mommy on here told me to eat oatmeal 3 to 3 times a week and boy that has worked like magic!!! I know different things can and will affect everyone differently BUT what makes me so so mad is I asked him multiple times if it may affect my son in any way and he told me no every single time. if you don't know them don't tell a patient to get that and take it. ugh

He has probably never heard of it causing any issues. Everyone I've talked to who breast feeds lives by that stuff. It could've also been a coincidence & you both could be sick.

i also heard of a lot of mom's living by it and it working wonders for them. but I also called him a couple days later and then he informed me that it may make me sick and/or give my son vomiting and diarrhea. that's what makes me upset why didn't he tell me right when I asked him multiple times. and we're not sick, I stopped feeling nausea the next day. and my son never got any kind of fever. I called his PCP and he said to bring him in and he checked him out and he's not sick at all. just the diarrhea and occasional vomiting. his pcp said to give it a few more days and he should be back to normal after the herb leaves his system. I'm not made at the fact that he suggested it at all, I'm mad that I asked him a lot of it may have any affect on my son and he told me not at all everytime but when my son shows symptoms I call and he says yes right off the bat.

pharmacist is usually more educated about stuff like that. If I ever have questions about medicine even natural ones I always ask a pharmacist.
