I don't get how smoking cigarettes while pregnant isn't considered child abuse? crazy world we live…

Or drinking or doing drugs at all , ur disorienting yourself you may claim oh but I can control it if ur 9 months pregneat & slip and fall cause ur high that's still murder

Lol getting high while pregnant is consisted child abuse. you can get your baby taken away if your drinking and getting high. but you can smoke cigarettes and fill your body up with rat poison and tar and you can still take your baby home no problem. @fifimama

because you are harming your baby.....i see it as a form of abuse. I would consider it child abuse if a mother held a baby down and blew cigarette smoke in her babys face. Same thing. You are forcing that baby to suffer the consequences of smoking.

@mdomke22, then there's several moms where I'm from that needs there kids taken cause I know a lady who did crack while pregneat & baby was born addicted & they still have her the baby

Yea some hospitals don't do all of the technicality stuff unfortunately....I saw a story about it on the news actually about a month ago. it's very sad. @fifimama

I know some hospitals test the babies first poop for any drugs and stuff like that.
