When did you mommas go back to work after baby was born? I'm looking for a new job but don't know when to start. My baby boy is only a week and 2 days old and I can't even think about leaving him without wanting to cry. Sadly I'll have to go back soon though.

I didn't start looking until my daughter was 3 months because I breast feed her and I wanted to make there was not nipple confusion.

You have to wait until at least after your 6 week check up.@mommymcclung,

Ill be going back when my daughter is 3 weeks old due to financial issues. Thankfully I can bring my daughter with me. But most doctors understand about having to go back to work as long as you honestly feel up to it and havent had major issues they will give you the doctors note saying its ok. Not everyone is able to take a full 6 weeks off.

Look at employment at places like Wic. Theres a few type of jobs that its safe to take your baby. I work in a group home and will just be wearing my daughter most of the time.
