Ava (1month) both breastfeeding and formula feeding, spits up almost 2-3 times a day or sometimes even after every feeding. The doctor said as long as it's not projectile like throwing up then she's ok. But it scares me that she might spit up at night and start choking while I'm asleep. Is there any way I can avoid her spotting up after eating?

Only thing I can think of is burp a lot.

yes have her sit up in you arms after eating or if you can have her head inclined or bassinet or put a little cereal and her bottle that's what the doctor told me to do to my daughter.

@bri28, yea yesterday I've been burping her throughout and after feedings but it hasn't seemed to help yet. But I'm going to keep at it thanks!

@lillysmommy, I've tried having her inclined for the first 30min after feeding. Cereal in her milk even at just 1 month? I'm see the dr on Saturday maybe I'll ask if she suggests that as well. Thank you!

your welcome my daughter had acid reflux but my doctor didn't want to put on any medicines that she was been so healthy so you should just put a little just to make the milk a little heavier so it stayed down. that and i always made sure that she was on her side if she did not spit up. @chelsnicole they may give you the meds for it to but i know every doctor is different.

Ok great. Well last time I mentioned to the Dr. she said she might try another formula or to give the baby sugar water but that's the last resort if needed. Not sure what it does though. @liklysmommy

Don't do cereal that early!!! =0 it's normal for baby. my son had severe reflux and vomited multiple times an hour I just kept an eye on him at night and slept in nursery

I personally wouldn't do the cereal either. Speaking from personal experience. Didn't know better with my first born and we put some in her bottle and it gave her very bad colic and reflux. Maybe it's the formula that makes your baby sick
