Motherhood is the beginning of many firsts.

It's learning to function on only a few hours of sleep. It's falling asleep while feeding especially late at night. It's learning which cries or sounds mean what. It's getting up every 5 mins because your child is upset they dropped their paci out their mouth. It's a lot of bottle washing & sterilizing. It's getting excited over a good burp. It's not getting disgusted over getting peed on or getting poop on your finger. It's getting sad over seeing wasted formula (or breastmilk). It's you thinking they're finally asleep but you're so wrong. It's getting scared when a loud noise sounds off because you just finally got them to fall asleep. It's checking the clock when they wake up for a feeding because you wonder how long you got to snooze that time. It's wondering what you should do during their nap (clean, eat, or sleep). It's rocking them to sleep because laying them down just won't cut it. It's missing them in your belly but glad to have them in your arms. It's giving a lot of kisses constantly. It's kissing all 10 fingers & toes. It's watching your camera roll turn from 'selfies' to 'themsies'. It's blowing your money on them instead of you. It's having fun dressing them in clothes. It's your heart melting everytime they stare at you. It's crying because you're so in love. It's watching them grow bigger everyday & wanting to stop time. It's a lot of people stopping to admire your baby & you just smile. It's you wondering how you got so blessed. It's you just staring at them because they are so beautiful. It's you growing up quickly without you even realizing it but everyone else does. It's watching a little piece of you & not believing they're all yours. It's doing anything & everything for them. It's learning the true meaning of love & falling in it like you never did before. It's learning that motherhood is the best thing that ever happened to you.

That's my 1st month of motherhood in a nutshell. They're are so many firsts that I know are not listed. But that would take forever lol.
