Not necessarily a salon, if you know a professional hair stylist that would be better. My aunt is one and she just did my hair, we just made sure the room was ventilated and she got this color that a plant based and had less chemicals than box dye does.

As long as it's after your second trimester it's safe to dye your hair plus if you go to a salon they might not do it for you
