yes you can get it. Just make sure you're washing your nipples after every feed

Oh yeah, I forgot about the lip lol. And good, they'll prescribe her medication and it should go away soon. Tip: When giving her the medicine, make sure she's wearing a bib or not a very cute outfit. In case any comes back out, which in my daughters case, a lot did. It just stains everything yellow. 😑 Good luck and hope she gets better soon.

@breloya, hers covers her entire tongue and is on her gums and lips. We go to the doctor tomorrow

Don't let that deter you from breastfeeding though. Talk to your doctor and get medicated as well, so that you guys aren't just passing it back and forth from mouth to nipple and vice versa.

Hers covered her entire tongue, both cheeks, and the roof of her mouth and was very thick. And to answer your question, bfing mamas can get it as well.

My daughter had it for a long time. She went through three bottles of nystatin before it went away.

my son had a rly mild case of it. His ped prescribed nystatin & it was gone within a week. Make sure you're sterilizing all bottles & anything else that's come in contact with his mouth.
