im just gonna say that every parent struggles . i dont really think anyone is ever 100% ready for a child ( personal opinion ) . but asking for handouts is not okay . if you TRULY need help , theres government assistance . i know of a lot of churches that do things like baby clothes and everything . goodwill . and im sure this is gonna make A LOT of people mad , but if you truly have no way of taking care of a child , there is always adoption . you have a baby shower for a reason . in my eyes , its YOUR responsibility to buy whatever it is you do not have after . its nobodys responsibility but YOUR OWN to take care of YOUR child . we are all here either planning to raise our first child or many mothers on here on there second child and up . i get needing help , but sitting on an app blowing me up and im sure other people is not okay . ive blocked the person doing this because sending me link after link to your registry is just not okay .

exactly I wasn't ready because I was told I could never have kids and yes we're struggling but like you said there are places that help and you have a baby shower for a reason I'm glad we got what we needed bugging someone you don't know is wrong.....

I agree... I see people on yard sale groups asking for diapers for free and formula... we were financially ready for this baby but the hubby got hurt @ work (has been off for 8 months) only got paid 1/3 of what he was making...so everything we had had to go to bills...but I never asked for anything for free for her... my mom ended up buying a lot of stuff for her...but it was because she wanted to. she knew I had barely anything for her...but we were gunna find a way to do it...I don't feel right asking people for stuff.

I was almost going to have a shower for her...but she was my 3rd and I felt guilty so it never happened lol....but if you're gunna have kids you need to find a way to provide even if you have to go without something. I rarely get myself anything because my kids come 1st.

thats how it should be . weve given up a lot and our son isnt born yet . if its that bad then maybe she should cut the wifi and cellphones out of the picture ? idk . @mama.of.3.

I completely agree!! I would feel weird asking random ppl that I don't know, for help. we all have our own baby's to buy for!! I think the girl is a bit off. she has no shame...I would be embarrassed.

i would be too ! and not to mention she has no shame or care for others . i litterally just posted that im on maternity leave , im depressed i cant help financially right now , and i can have my child at any day . @heatherlg88

Yeah. This is our 3rd. We are struggling. He is working . I had to quit. We stay with my cousin right now. I feel like I'm useless a bit, but we're figuring it out on our own. No shower. Just buying little by little, layaway, and cousin and in laws helping because they want to. There are also thrift stores and mom to mom sales.

i feel like it may be a scam . i feel like they do this and people do it out of the kindness of their heart and these people get the stuff then sell it or something . its just weird . @kee89

we have what we need . but we also just got an apartment and have bills and another mouth to feed and got a better car and everything else . i can not support or help anyone else . it just boggles my mind . @aztec.mom
