I still laugh at something that happened after labor. My mom and best friend got to witness the birth. But as my feet were in the stirrups and the doctor was stitching me up, as I'm passing out from being tired, the one nurse comes in and says "There's a gentleman here for you guys? Should I send him in?" It was my best friends fiance. He'd been in the waiting room for 9 hours. Her, without thinking, excitedly says "Sure! Send him on in!"...my mom goes "Kensa...unless you want him seeing all this (waves at my hoohaa hanging free still), I'd suggest he wait a little." She got all red, the nurses laughed, my doctor started giggling...ah, good times. Lol. Still can't believe I was falling asleep during contractions (and was begging for a Milky Way) and while I was being stitched up (internally and externally) without anesthesia.
