Is it weird my dr didn't check for dilation and I'm 39 weeks today ?!

I don't think so. I don't think checking for dilation just because you're close to your EDD really tells anything. I was at 1 cm for weeks, 3 cm for days, and went from 3 to 6 in just a matter of like 2 hrs. I don't think it's indicative of anything honestly

My doctor didn't check at EVERY appointment, you're so close to your due date that it is expected you'll go any time now.

I think it depends on your OB. Mine tries eh check every appointment and I'm soooo not comfortable with it LOL. But he tries. No sir😂😅
