It's over the counter. I'm sure they have stronger stuff you'd need a prescription for but the Zantac Max strength worked well for me. I'm trying out the Zantac Duo fusion right now and for how bad mine has been, it doesn't work quite as well so as soon as it runs out, back to the max strength I go. But it might work well for you.

@hardyharharleigh, I've tried milk and tums and they don't seem to help consistently. Is Zantac a prescription to ask the doctor about or over the counter?

I've been battling it pretty hard and milk does help. Tums does wonders...at first. if it gets too bad like mine has, zantac has helped me so much.
