If I'm with the baby all the time, do I have to pump still or feeding enough?

I only pump enough to give him his rice cereal. That's an ounce or two a day. The rest of the time, he's on the breast.

You don't even have to pump at all if he is with you all the time. Unfortunately my baby boy was in the NICU for a month and a half so I was pumping every 2 hours around the clock. But, when he came home I transitioned him to the breast and he made the transition smoothly!

@mrsmccormick okay great thank you! My boy was in the nicu too and since he's been home i haven't pumped. So I was wondering what I should do. :)

I exclusively breast fed my son the 1st 5 months I was off of work. & boy was it hard to get him on a bottle after. my bf had to bring him to my job so I could nurse him lol.. he ended up never taking a bottle and went straight to sippy cup. it gets really tiring. just a suggestion, pump enough so his daddy can feed him or another family member. just so you have that option if he ever is away from you even for just a bit..

@lucyyxoxo_ that's what I was thinkin. Since he was in the nicu and my supply is so great. I was pumping and taking it to the hospital. When he was sent home I got back all my frozen milk. it sure is nice to have dad be able to bond with him while he eats and I give the 'ladies' a break lol

yes, do it. I know I will this time around. even so my son can feed his little sister. there's many things I'm going to change now that I learned through out these years
