This whole "when to take maternity" thing is driving me crazy! I have no idea how I'm going to be feeling so my due date is 18/11 and I'm asking to take my leave on 11/18,but 4 weeks before that 24/10 go on the tills (I work in health & Beauty department in a retailer) is that ok? This is my first baby and were pretty organized so I don't want to be sat at home twiddling my fingers waiting?! Help me?!

i officially leave 2nd sept and she is due on 10th sept. but taking 2 weeks hol from 19th august. reason leaving it late as poss is so i get more time off with baby as only having the 6 months leave from work. xx

i worked until 2 days before ny due date it is up to you when you want to take maternity leave and i will be going back when baby is 6 weeks old. x

I worked until 2 weeks before and my little girl was exactly 2 weeks late. I had 4 weeks off and was bored. If you're organised like you say then work as long as you feel you can and its safe for you to do so, unfortunately you can never really tell when baby will make their grand entrance xx

Depends on your job. I'm on my feet 8hrs a day and can't sit down so I'm leaving 6 weeks before due date. Also depends on how you feel xxx
