I don't think you can have any strong medications until after 12 weeks, just paracetamol. But there might be something they can do just make sure to tell the dentist you're pregnant and how far along you are. I know someone who got an abscess during pregnancy and couldn't get anything done until after she had her baby but hopefully that's not the case xx

I went a month ago same think the pain was so bad I had an infection under the root it needed to be removed but they wouldn't do it instead he filed the tooth right down (no pain) so when I close my mouth my bad tooth doesn't touch my other teeth if that makes sense and now the pains gone I was around 30 weeks I think and now I just have to wait until I've had baby and they will remove it xx

And I did have antibiotics as well due to he infection but after 2 days I stopped taking them as the pain had stopped x

when I was pregnant they were able to take mine out, they could only give me local anaesthetic not the really strong stuff but they did it, it's worth asking because I think it's more about whether or not your dentist is willing to do it x

I had a root canal while I was pregnant, all was fine. The dentist assured me it won't harm the baby ... She's now a healthy 3 month baby. I was about 20 weeks I think, just tell the dentist how far you are and they will know whether is safe.

I had a tooth out at 16 weeks had the anesthetic to numb it, all was fine :) xx
