My Labor Story: I had been in the hospital for about 16 days prior diagnosed with Preeclampsia getting about 3 needles and about 5 medications a day. So you can say I was tired!!!!! August 4th I reached my 34 week mark. I was started on Magnesium and Pitocin about 4:30 that morning. I couldn't feel my contractions so they kept upping my Pitocin. 6:20 I felt a gush of fluid...my water broke!!! Doctor came in and checked me and broke my water the rest of the way she said it wasn't broke all the way...by then I was about 3 cm. Right after that the contractions started to get more intense and I could feel every one. EPIDURAL PLEASE!!! I got my epidural and within minutes my blood pressure dropped from 130s/? down to 88/? and baby's heart rate began to drop! They quickly turned me on my side and began pumping me with more medication to bring my blood pressure back up. I finally was stabilized but still felt alittle off. The nurse did a test to see where my level of numbness was and it was all the way to the top of my breast 😨. She turned my epidural off to bring the level down. Soon after the pressure that I felt turned to pain. I could feel everything!!! My baby's head began to press on my pelvic bone which made the contractions even worse!! By now I'm crying and begging and pleading! Doctor checked me and said I was at 8 cm! I screamed and told her I couldn't do it anymore!! Tears rolling down my face!!! She said "Ok I'm going to go in and push the rest of your cervix back but you have to let me do it!!" At this point I would do whatever to get him out! So she stuck her hand up there and began pushing my cervix back and I had to push at the same time!!! With no pain meds by then!!!! Ya'll I thought I saw the light! I thought God had come for me!!! I don't know how I did it but I did! I pushed 3 times and he was out! He looked so healthy and his cry was so strong! My tears of pain then changed to tears of happiness as soon as I saw him!!!
