I never got told when was safe to have sex, all the health visitors and midwives kept saying was be extra safe as from 3 weeks after birth you are at highest fertility. I had an episiotomy and 2nd degree tear and had stitches. Unfortunately I had an infection which slowed the healing process. So for my own peace of mind I've waited until literally last night to attempt it for the first time. I had my baby 6 and half weeks ago. Wait until you feel your body is ready, you will know better then anyone else. Xx

oh i don't know about stitches as never had any xx

Your best of waiting till your stitches heal a little bit more. I wasn't told anything but waited till my 6week postnatal check with the health visitor x
