My cousins water broke sometime yesterday morning and she was have regular contractions, but not enough to go to the hospital. Now today her contractions have stopped and the baby isn't moving very much. She under the impression that her midwife will let her go for another week before inducing her but I thought after your water broke they only would let you go 48hr

She needs to go back in. If her water broke their is great risk of infection after so many hours specially days

she needs to at the very least call her midwife. they will let people go after it breaks but they are usually admitted to the hospital and hooked up to antibiotics to prevent/combat risk of infection...

I was told once ur water breaks u have to go to the hospital since ur bottom is open for infections since the water is broken I would have her go in
