I'm gonna speak my mind on this matter, because I'm seeing a lot of women talking about self induction or trying to have their babies before they're full term. First off, what the fuck is wrong with you? Unless it's medically necessary, there's absolutely NO reason for you to be doing anything to make your baby be born early. Talk to mothers with NICU babies! Secondly (I have to say this since I saw someone say this) It doesn't matter if your baby is BIG that doesn't automatically qualify you for a c-section. I went all the way to my due date and went into labor on my own, my baby was almost 9 lbs and I'm little, born perfectly healthy naturally! I know women that have delivered 11+ lb babies naturally as well. Thirdly, if it's because you're uncomfortable, you might as well get used to it, because those first few weeks with baby are going to be harder than you thought pregnancy ever was! And when you become a mother, it's about sacrifice, you sacrifice and are uncomfortable a little while longer so that baby has a chance of being born as healthily as possible! Would t not kill you to see your child in the NICU struggling because YOU tried to bring him into this world too soon?
SN: idgaf who this offends, people need to hear the truth! And considering I'll be working in the NICU, it's very important to me to make sure people know the facts! Don't be selfish.

YES YESSSSSS! i see woman on here trying to use castor oil to self induce because they're very uncomfortable and the baby is big. i always want to say something, but it's pointless because they think it's ok.

The only reason my daughter was born early was because I had pre-eclampsia. Otherwise I would have waited. My daughter had some pretty bad jaundice. But seriously waiting isn't that bad..

I was induced at 38 weeks and it was the worst experience of my life. baby was not ready for labor and either was my body. I could have carried him until he was ready but my doctors insisted on induction and he was born emergency c section because my body wasn't ready. its bull that these ladies want to be induced at 37 weeks. baby will come when baby is ready.

I'm not sure if you all saw the girl's posts and comments on here earlier, but she was only like 35 weeks trying to have rough sex and start labor. She was getting pissed at people asking her why she was doing that and said her doctor told her it was fine. I'm not sure what kind of doctor she talked to but I've NEVER heard of a doctor being cool with you purposely trying to get your baby out 5 weeks early for no medically necessary reason. She said she was scared the baby would be big and she'd have a c section. Women have been birthing babies (big babies) naturally for forever, and yes if a baby is like 10-15 lbs it may be harder and there is always going to be a chance of c- section wether you have added risks or not. Baby's bp could drop or so could the mothers, you could just not progress like needed, etc. I just wish some girls wouldn't be so hard headed, and automatically come on the defensive, especially when people are only trying to help sway you from making a horrible decision!

@nichole_lynn, yeah they induced my sister at 38 weeks, and I'm not even sure why they insisted on doing so but of course her being a FTM she listened and was ready anyway. So her baby was born naturally thankfully, but she was only 5 lbs and had bad jaundice and sugar was low etc, spent 2 days in the NICU. Baby just wasn't ready yet! And I've watched my older sister have to go through hell when she went into pre term labor at 32 weeks with her first and my niece was born and weighed about 3-4 lbs. she was in the NICU for over 2 months and has had to have heart surgeries and has lung issues. So why someone would want to purposely risk something like that happening blows my mind.

yessssss I saw that. she is fucken unbelievable -___- I rather deal with the pain and discomfort or whatever it may be for another 5 weeks. than have to leave the hospital without my baby and visit her in the nicu!
