I think it depends on what kind of sleeper you are. I can imagine someone who sleeps wild or heavy wouldn't be a good candidate for co sleeping. I've always been a light sleeper especially if my son is in the bed with me I'm extra cautious

@vannahjam14 @mazeyy09 I had one lady say breastfeeding mothers are better for bed sharing cause they lay baby at breast level an make a c shape around baby. Like I don't breastfeed an I lay her breast level. Plus she won't sleep in her bassinet for long maybe 2-3 hours in bed with us she sleeps 6-8 hours an feed once in between

that's how I am too.He can only nap in his bassinet a couple hours. He sleeps longer knowing he's next to us. I don't sleep good when he's not in the bed with me

@mazeyy09, me either I always wake up to check on her breathing ect, I don't like knowing she's not close to me. Plus she fusses was to much in her bassinet she's better when she knows she can feel is by her

That's weird I've actually been reading that co sleeping decreases the chances of sids lol I co sleep I have since my daughter was a few weeks old it was the only way I could get her to sleep for long periods of time ! She sleeps right next to me and it's so easy to breastfeed with her right there because she falls right back to sleep ! I Love co sleeping !

@mrscruz0530, yes Ikr I read that every where cause I was so scared to sleep with her in my bed. But it's the only way she will sleep now she refuses the bassinet an id rather her be next to me safe and sleep longer than uncomfortable an wake up alot

Do what works for you ! My daughter was only sleeping on my chest or right next to me lol five months later she's still here next to me lol and she sleeps on her tummy when she naps I say whatever works for you as a parent unfortunately if SIDS is going to happen it will happen regardless , suffocation on the other hand is preventable I feel like those two are often mistaken for the same thing .
