Ok well mention it the gagging I believe is normal my daughter did and still doesn't it many times they have to get used to all the breathing and stuff it takes times they can monitor him if anything seems worrisome do keep an eye on him
Did you have a c section? the nurse at my hospital explained the gagging like this: when babies are pushed through the vaginal canal, it squeezes any access amniotic fluid out of their lungs... So C section babies don't get that. It is very normal for them to 'gag' and then they will look like they're chewing and they digest what came up. My LO is a month old and she still does it every once in while. Absolutely nothing to stress about and I wish all nurses or doctors would explain that in the hospital because I freaked out the first time she did it, my nurse just so happened to be in the room to explain what was going on. As for his breathing, babies have very irregular breathing in the first place because they're still learning to breath. They didn't breath for the first time until they were born so it takes some adjusting... You're doing great momma. Don't stress yourself out☺️
Also, if he's sounding congested at all, especially after he eats, that is also very normal. It's just milk that got into their nasal passages because they're still learning to eat. If it seems like it's really bad, you can use a bulb syringe to get some out of his nose.
