i planned on working until my water broke . then i hit 36 weeks and started swelling and getting sick and i was 4cm dialated and hes been trying to come ever since . so my fiancé made me go on maternity leave because my body just couldnt handle it . but my friend worked up until she was induced at 40 weeks with no problems .

@mommynae, I worked in outside sales until 35.5 weeks, then started having so much hip pain I had to walk with crutches. At that point my company decided to let me work from home because it was just too dangerous...I think it depends on your occupation & security is a tough job!

Walking gets a lot more difficult the further along you get. I had hip pain and extreme pelvic pressure, and also it was really hard to breathe since your lungs get crammed/crowded. So it may become really difficult for you to stay on your feet and walk around for long periods of time.

Stopped working at 35 weeks. I'm a teacher and the stress was making my blood pressure rise
