Thinking about having a midwife instead of an OB/GYN the next time I give birth, but I'm nervous to because I had a c-section last time... What would happen if I ended up needing an emergency c-section?

I had a midwife but when I went to the hospital she wasn't there so the doctors have me whatever I wanted to kill the pain. I have friends who had a c-section and with second baby gave birth naturally
