So I've posted about fed is best before, but I just wanted to add something. World breastfeeding week is great for all the mom's who breastfeed, kudos to you for being able to feed your baby from the breast. However when people say formula is poison, it kind of grinds my gears. That "poison" took my son from a underweight baby to an 18 1/2 pound baby that is now in the 50th percentile. That "poison" helped my son grow and develop like a baby should. He was falling behind when I was breastfeeding, because he wasn't getting enough. When I supplemented he got constipated, I thought it was from my milk. When I stopped nursing and switched completely to formula, his bowel movements became regular again. This "poison" also stopped us from stressing so much since he was so underweight for a long time. So before you preach that breast is best, take a step back and try not to compare your baby to everyone elses. Every baby is different, breast milk doesn't agree with all babies, and not all mom's can breast feed. If you don't like this, move along down the feed.
