Or rubbing babys stomach counter clockwise? If baby is breastfed its normal to not poop for few days. I breastfed, lo went 7 days and I rubbed her belly that way and it helped her out. Even now when she has a tummy ache I do it and it loosens up some gas.

Ok. I'm surprised she told you to do so because I've always heard that this is so normal. My baby went two full weeks without pooping because he was ebf. Juices and things might not help. The only thing that helped was time or feeding more. The breast milk digest so fast so they don't go as much as babies drinking formula. I use yo get so scared but it was totally normal unless when he did go it was super hard.

@mrsmccormick, breast fed babies can days without popping & it's okay.

This is normal, especially since he's breastfed I highly doubt he's constipated. My baby can go 3-4 days without popping, doctor told me it was totally normal.

my ped told me baby can go a week sometimes when being breastfed.

Boil raisins in water and let the water cool down. Let he baby drink maybe a ounce or less whatever you feel comfortable with giving. That should make em poop asap.

I don't breast feed anymore but I was also told that my LO could go days or up to a week without pooping and not to worry unless you see some hard stool or signs of them straining.

thanks everyone. He still hasn't gone. He had a total of 3 oz of pear juice today, and I'm gonna give him some more tomorrow AM. Also, I'm drinking prune juice to pass him the fiber and I am gonna give him some prunes in the morning. Something's gotta give! The nurse at his pediatricians office said if he hasn't pooped within the next 2 days, bring him in to be seen. She said babies CAN hold out and not poop for up to 2 weeks!! But that it's very unhealthy for them to go more than 5 days total so we will see what hapoens!

@mrsmccormick, good luck. My son goes 9 days without popping & it's hell. But with your baby being breast fed it's "normal" to not poop everyday.
