i did 4 diffrent registrys.. and no one bought anything off of any of them. until 2 days before my baby shower then people started to buy stuff off of one of them which was target. i was sooo pissed its like well what the hell did i do this for...i realised most family and friends dont REALLY consider what the mom is really saying she needs.. they just buy what they feel might be cute to them.
@king.p7, yeah I have two, babies r us and target. My family lives in Michigan so they already bought gifts and stuff we needed off of them but my husband's family and our friends here in VA haven't gotten anything off of it! I guess maybe they'll wait until the last minute? It's just annoying cause I'm a planner and I want to finish up my nursery but you don't want to buy stuff if other people are going to get it for us, ya know?
yes indeed i totally understand...his family is being a ass they want to buy stuff when they want to.. knowing you like things in order and on time...i felt that way also..my son's dad side of the family was like that with his car seat...so i went ahaead of them and didnt say anything and got one on my on..so that if i was to go in labor early i would know that I can bring my son home because i was prepared. But now i really want to see how long its going to take them to follow up on their word.
thats what my guys mother told me...but sure enough i didn't wait going with my first mind. i felt like why wait until the baby shower? what if i go into labor and everyone didnt really bring what i necessarily needed..then ima be pist... trust me go with your first mind do it how you want to. you will feel soo much better and secure.
@king.p7, seriously, I'm going to be pissed when I'm doing everything last minute! Thank goodness I have a little over a month until she's born after the baby shower, but still. You can always go into labor early! And there's going to be nothing worse than not having what I need when I get home from the hospital.
@agastinamarie, right thts what im saying lol...im impatiently waiting for my son now..my baby shower was july 31st... im so happy i got what i needed early...because no one really got what i asked for.
