You're supposed to wait the 6 weeks because where the placenta was attached is essentially an open wound that can easily get infected. With that being said, I didn't wait. I made it all of 2 weeks after birth before I had sex again. I did tear but I waited for my bleeding to stop and stitches to dissolve. Just go slow. At first I couldn't go more than one day in a row because it was sore afterwards.
my husband and i let the excitement get the best of us and got intimate a month later since the bleeding had stopped it didnt hurt at all until after we finished but the pain went away the next day and everything seemed fine :) till this day everything is okay down there
Its recommended you you wait just for the sake of infections or getting pregnant again. What I did was I made sure my husband was clean and I got on birth control right away. Once I stopped bleeding I figured ok it's fine now and I haven't bled since then. We also had sex after just 4 weeks.
I don't even think about sex at 4wks post partum between breastfeeding and taking care of my baby it's kinda hard to get turned on or just feels weird to think about.
She's very much right, and I'd say to each there on on totally fine but I didn't wait I was fine and a lot of other woman I know waited longer but not the full 6weeks and was fine but I cannot speak for everyone and say yeah go ahead there's no risk bc everyone is different if you feel you're fine check your cervix and go for it
I was fine it's a general statement for moms who ripped or had a difficult labor or a big baby and might have torn the inside a small bit or have irritation from birthing. And it takes a few days or 2weeks for your lady parts to reajust so that's why rhey say that I waited 4days and took it super super super lightly. A lot of moms don't wait. But I did bleed a bit longer with spotting and such
