My son is 2months and 1 week and he has a cold with a sore throat :( is there anything i can do for him?

Well his pediatrician said his throat was red and a little swollen along with his cold, and i know it hurts because he was up all night crying and the minute I thought to pull the blanket over his mouth a little bit he stopped crying and went right to sleep so I'm assuming the cold air was getting to his throat

I was told they can't get sore throats that's young. I thought my son had one too
