Oh wow really ??? I'd ask what their guess is then they can get an idea by measuring your belly and feeling

They did mine at 32 weeks by ultrasound

They measure your belly each appt that gives them the idea .. If you measure to big or to little it usually will prompt them to scan you .. I know I have one at week 30 to check fluid and growth and again at 36 weeks I'm assuming for fluid again .. Towards the end of pregnancy some woman lose amniotic fluid towards the end ..

that was by feeling though, not ultrasound

my Dr never did measure the baby, or at lease she didn't tell me till I asked a fill in Dr and she guessed my son would weigh 7.5-8 lbs at 38 weeks. was born at 39.5 weighing 8lb 2oz

Only reason my doctor does growth ultrasounds is if they have concern with baby being too big/too small. Or if you go over your due date. Otherwise I wouldn't have had an ultrasound pass the anatomy acan
