it's super possible that you could contract worms from any animal that has them, some types of worms are more likely to spread than others. idk what the effects on a baby would be but with a cat they get on all kinds of surfaces so they are more likely to drop eggs or worms all over the place. definitely get that taken care of. good luck and sorry to hear that your kitty is going through that.

no , don't panic yourself just make sure to wash your hands before you eat anything. I know some worms (hook worms I believe) can get into your body through your bare feet but I think that's only by contaminated fecal matter. definitely deworm your kitty asap just because it's better for him and more sanitary for you and your baby.
