I was having trouble burping my friends baby but she got him and patted way harder than me and he does everytime . She said I was patting to soft

I burped my son between ounces...like let him drink some burp him then drink some more and burp him again

My son was hard to burp. I had to put him high... almost him hanging over my shoulder and RUB his back instead of pat it for him to burp. Massaging his tummy on the sides then moving up his back seemed to help.

I've read recently in a parents magazine that we commonly burp our babies wrong. We're supposed to pat them on their back opposite their belly button, not up high. Google that and see what you can find

Try rubbing babys back in any upward motion to loosen the gas and pat and repeat. I think burping is one of the hardest things.
