My daughter (in the black shirt) left for church camp yesterday and I miss her so much already. I don't do religion but I give my kids the freedom to choose for themselves and I am just so glad that my daughter has finally found her place amongst friends. She has come a long way in the last two years, she has recovered from trichotillomania, depression, and she no longer has to deal with bullying (so glad we changed schools!) She is going to be gone for 5 whole days and I was so worried about her, but one of the moms just sent me some pictures and now I feel much better! I'm so glad she is having fun. phew! relief!! 😱😄

The fact that u give ur kids the decision to choose religion if by far amazing ! That's the biggest thing u will not forget and the fact she chose to do church camp says a lot ❤️❤️

I was raised on church and religion and just growing up in my own personal experiences has shown me everything I needed to know to finalize my belief (or lack thereof) in my heart and soul I truly know that dogma is just another way of man to control a mass but it would be absolutely unfair for me to force what I have learned onto my children...just as it was unfair for my parents to force me to believe in things. I have shared with my kids my feelings on religion and some choose to follow in my footsteps and the others choose religion...it is entirely their choice and I'm sure they will learn and grow accordingly and figure things out for themselves. I don't judge and I give them freedom to be who they want as long as they're not hurting anyone else.@dreeex,

I am the same way with my kids. my oldest isn't even baptized because he does not want to be and my younger 2 go to Catholic school and love it! I go to church mainly for the tuition discount lol but I do enjoy it.

@maybaby2016, they really will have a better chance at being well rounded people with you giving them the freedom to choose for themselves I think.
