@xoxoalexusss, are you still in the hospital? Do they have a lactation consultant you can speak with?

Yes . I still have a hard time getting him on tho . I'm gonna still try for a little bit & see if it gets any easier . I've talked to every lactating specialist that has seen me the past 4 days . @angiek

I thought the same thing the first night, you can do this.. get a nipple guard if you don't already have one and try to hand express a little into their mouth first, and the only nursing position that worked for me was sitting cross legged, putting a pillow on my lap, and having him facing up and putting my boob in his mouth and then rubbing his chin.. But if he is screaming he won't latch until he calms down, so just do your best to calm him down and then try.. you got this mama!!!!

@xoxoalexusss, oh geez. Sorry you are having so much trouble! I have seen a lot of other moms on here saying the nipple guards really help! Good luck mama!

First two weeks are the hardest. Just try and relax. Baby can sense when you're frustrated and that will make baby frustrated. I had a hard time with my daughter the first few days as well. I ended up giving her a couple gulps from a bottle then putting my nipple in her mouth so she knew she had to suck and she caught on. Good luck
